On Human Universals...
I know that there is a list, supposedly generated by Anthropologists, of aspects of humans that are supposed to exist in all cultures across the world. However I cannot find the list online. Can anyone help me with this? I think it might be the basis for a good conversation about universalism and consctructivism in the understanding of human identity.

Is Paris Hilton a Simulacrum?
Baudrillard vs. Paris Hilton, with David Foster Wallace and Douglas Rushkoff thrown in the mix. Paris Hilton seems to take a lot of flack from "normies" for being famous without actually accomplishing anything. Is this really a problem? Are we not ready to accept that celebrity is no longer coupled to achievement? Paris as simulacrum of celebrity, and possibly a hologram.
