Aquatripper? Sounds like this guy:

in water!

That'd be awesome. I'm all for Aquatripper. Actually, calling myself Paper Lantern would be somewhat amusing, but then Geoff Johns would be compelled to write a crap miniseries about me. Maybe, as I've been reading early Gen X comics, I'll do something based on them. Maybe something to do with Husk and her creepy, creepy powers.

Paper Husk? Paper Skin? M-Papers?

I think, Decedent Aquatripper, in reference to my own names of past, and a sideways nod to Dead Megatron. For all I know Arthur is actually dead at the moment. Crisis has the new young replacement for like one page, but otherwise I'm ignorant.

I don't even think they know, really.

Paper Husk sounds nice and creepy, actually.

Paper Husk = good and scary.

Papers Jubilee = far more alcoholic than you'd expect from a brightly-colored fruity glassful like that.

I don't know how Aquaman and Hawkman have gone so badly. I love Hawkman stuff up to about the early nineties and then.... ugh. Enjoyed bits of Larsen's Aquaman, and then the water-handy stuff, Morrison's JLA, but otherwise... ugh.

Papers Jubilee requires me to talk a lot about people's "'tudes" and places like So-Cal.

I'm choreographing the second half of the new novel and wow, it's hard not to complexify this thing. The events are all threaded along a single impulse (or two co-related impulses), but taking the long-view that just looks so incredibly simplistic.

At least, I suppose, I'm not dropping the villains down a newly-made canyon after twenty-six issues of menace. (Actually, I liked the ending of Planetary, for what it was. I just hope twenty-seven has at least one return/reveal up its sleeve.)

It's probably a good thing I'm not any kind of hardcore realist.

Realism's for the real, man, and I won't truck with such nonsense. Beauty is truth.

I'm going to get to work on my project shortly, but will continue shifting.

So long as you keep track of where your Milliganesque Lobdellia goes. That stuff can be dangerous.

Oh, I'm sure it'll go places. But this story needs a little danger, know what I'm saying?

Possibly not, but I can nod my head with my eyes wide, so you'll think I do.

These masks of yes are often important. They're handed out at the door, by the gentleman with the penny-loafers. His name is Tad. Don't tip him, he spends it on bourbon and fast cars.

Working on your reread as we "speak."

Hope it's working for you.

In sudden retrospect, I think I've actually seen this novel before. I just filed off the serial numbers of Evangelion a little bit. Maybe I'm being too harsh, but, well, nothing from a vacuum, I suppose.

End of Eva's not the first time anybody's put Christian mythos against military insurgency and scorched earth type actions. Heck, the Revelation of John might not be the first. And mine doesn't even have a penguin.

I tried to write the porn-gone-bad but it's not finished percolating. I pulled out another idea from the bus this afternoon to make something quick and dirty that I can finish before bed and post away.

Other patches are knitting together in the meanwhile, of course.

! and ivy intrigue me, I like the rhythm of the language. Only complaint so far is that sometimes the music gets in the way of visualizing the scenes...

Specific bustling will occur following dinner; for now it's general. I'm waiting for the rice noodles to look right and the pad thai to be ready for eating. I'm so very, very hungry. Which is typical of late shifts...

Having only watched the first show it'd difficult to give an opinion on the show. (but ofcourse I will) So far it seems far too self aware. Almost a parody of the genre. Not that I didnt enjoy it. I did. I thik the characters are cast perfectly (however the monster from the begining looked like it escaped from some canadian kids show (not a good thing)
It seems like a show that is aguing with itself about what it is.

Hey there D.

I've got a fridge full of delicious, healthy food and what do I gorge myself on?

That's right. Bowl after bowl of Cocoa Krispies.

I feel so dirty.

Sounds like a call to be proud of.

I wish I had anything cocoa-y right about now. It'd make the proofing go so much faster.
