the spouse and I knew each other in person one week before the engagement. and yes it is this weird sense of certainty. My Nana always said you just knew, and I was always like 'what the crap does that mean?'
Having experienced it I can describe it as this internal still moment of no doubt that this is the correct action. It's like arrivng somewhere you've always knew you would. Very strange stuff.

YAY for K&M Lurv! YAY for Stoats!

Ohhhh. So it was just a bender, then. I feel assured.

Well, there was slightly more to it than that... but rest assured, I didn't skimp on the booze.

I assume you waited until getting back from the pub to do that.

If not, that makes me amazingly happy.

All this 'Gives me a happy' springing up so quickly is certainly cheering me up.

Also, after months of working with a seventy year old non-trad CW student, his work has improved from annoying lots of people to getting a few pieces in respectable upcoming anthologies. I'm happy for him, yes, but part of me is also liking the idea that I was useful and beneficial to someone in an advisory situation. He seems happy and is being practically genial since the writing's improved and been noticed, which is really wonderful.

Congrats to all whom congrats are in order for (and to the rest of you, just for the heck of it), and a small toast (with actual toast, and cheap coffee) to all your futures giving more happy!

Go sorenson! How are the babs and chicks?

all is lovely. the chickens are happy and hilarious - they've worked out that we = food and get very excited every time we open the back door. my partner is convinced that they understand english - yesterday, she had thrown some silverbeet into their run, but two of them were still clucking around at her feet hopefully, and she said 'look you two, there's a lovely big chunk of silverbeet right there for you!' and she says they immediately turned around and went and started pecking at it. so cute!

and the babies are lovely - the one in her tummy is so close to coming out now (she's 38 weeks today), and it's very cute the way it jumps when there is a loud noise, and responds when i speak to it. the one in my tummy is getting more and more wriggly (or rather i can feel it more and more) and the slow dawning of realisation that there is a TINY PERSON INSIDE ME and that I AM TOTALLY IN LOVE WITH IT is kinda incredible....(i had this realisation long ago with the bigger one in my partner's tummy, and it was no less incredible then).

wow. long answer. am very happy as you can see!

another happiness - i am finally going to cut off all my long annoying hair this weekend, and boo sucks to all my relatives who keep telling me it looks so 'pretty'.

Aww, sorenson, lovely.

Stoat had a great date, that's brilliant, but Mono must be...

a mourning bride.

Sorry.

I'll get my coat.

I have just seen some sort of bird of prey, hunting for the swifts that fly around outside my window, and then perching above my room on a sticky out bit of metal. I rushed to take a photo but it had gone. Some sort of lesson here about living an unmediated life I'm sure. It was cool though to see it swoop up to it's perch about 2m from me.

I have bought a velvet trench coat of very many colours.

It defines everything I've ever wanted to be.

But, at least it's not from that FUCKING MUSICAL people keep singing at me.

Benjamin, is it made out of recycled velvet by a company with a two-part repeated name? Jim Jam or Miff Miff or similar? I had a pair of technicolour dreamtrousers and a little red and gold hat from them. They made me happy. Many times the hat concealed a ridiculus haircut while it grew out.

Seconding the request for pics. Show us this varicolored velvet of yours. Let us distance it in its glory from that, y'know, musical with a firm visual.

That is pretty neat!

My happy today is a simple one. It's the warm feeling you get knowing that no matter where you go today, or what you do, there is someone out there who loves you and never fails to let you know that.

That happifies me as well. I am further enhappied by the knowledge that William Shatner made a film entirely in Esperanto in 1965, and the happiness reaches stratospheric levels as I discover that Shat's Esperanto oeuvre, Incubus, is rumoured to be cursed.

Incubus is playing on a wee TV in the last installment Blade movie at one point.

One of my friends speaks Esperanto which has always made me very happy.

My co-written musical will be being workshopped in a couple of weeks' time. Real singers will be singing my lyrics and my writing partner's music. I am unfeasibly excited.

And I had a very good job interview today.

I rock at doing the banking. £30 is more than £200 right? Okay, if I have £34 leaving the station at midday heading west and £72 leaving the fountain at 2:00 pm heading East then what's the sum of the square of the other two sides?

Whee! I have a ticket for Simon Munnery on Thursday night. I am composed entirely of WIN!

Excellent work, Whisky P. May all your cast fracture their extremities, often.

The Shatner Esperanto film sounds great, even without having followed the link yet. Let's hope it's not too excremento.

Well, even if it's awful, I've ordered Incubus from Caiman, who have it for less than four quid...

Esperanto rocks. I can't wait to hear it delivered as dialogue. I'll have to dig out my English-Esperanto dictionary.

Is it dubbed, or do you just have to get by trying to figure out the [Grant Morrison fanwank dictionary] emotion aggregates [/GMfd] of the language?

23:34 / 10.07.07
Grr. I mean, of course, subbed. Emotional aggravate!
