What is this site?
This is an archive of Barbelith, rebuilt from the original site files and surviving public discussions. The messageboard is closed, but you can still browse and read it.
Can I post or sign in?
No. Posting, registration, sign-in and private messaging are no longer available.
What has been left out?
Private messages, passwords and private account details are not included. Posts and threads marked as deleted in the original database are also excluded.
Why does it look so familiar?
We've kept the original design. Some images appear as links while we review whether to include local copies. Dates are shown in Pacific time, matching the surviving mirror.
Can I have something removed?
Yes. If you wrote something you no longer want here, or a discussion contains personal information about you, you can ask for it to be removed. You don't need to demonstrate harm or explain why you want your own contributions removed. A link to the material or your former username will help us find it.
How will you know it's my account?
Access to the email address you originally used can help us confirm that. If you no longer have access, we can discuss other ways. Please don't send an old password or an identity document.
How do I get in touch?
The contact route is still being set up. We expect to use tom@barbelith.com, but haven't confirmed that it works yet, so please don't rely on it. This is a local prototype; we'll confirm the contact details before publishing the archive. |
