I`ve been wondering, what would you say is your current clothing/fashion-chic, how would you define it? I`ve been finding myself in a "sophisticated japanese-anime-druggie-`puterboy" kinda phase..make any sense at all? How `bout you?

plain fruit of the loom hoodies that cost 25 euro each, you will always see me in either a cream or navy one. or if the other two are dirty a green one, but hopefully not for long.

I would have said Japanesey punk with a slosh of grungy military. Or is that just wishful thinking?

I always wear an ironic trucker hat over my artfully greasy mid-length hair, coupled with a pair of oversized Seven jeans, yellow and blue dunks and a Bathing Ape t-shirt.

Not.

Full-on going out style: Nigerian preppie bling

(i.e. colourful suits, fake diamond jewellery and really silly hats)

Casual going-out style: Colour-coordinated slouch

(i.e. colour-matched accessories, shoes and t shirts and an old pair of jeans)

Loafing around style: tuppenny tropical

(i.e. checked shorts, white t-shirt and birkenstocks)

Oh my God that's so true. Do an image search in Google.

We must set that as an essential fashion rule.

I’m mid-way between that whole “I could be in a band, me” look that was more popular in the 90s (jeans, 70s jumpers, leather jacket, ‘Strokes’ hairdo -I know, it’s terrible) and … a kind of outdoor-sy geography teacher look
It’s not going too well on the sartorial front

ooh, likey likey the sound of that.

It's more about obsessions with me:

My 'red'ness is reaching ludicrous proportions, so generally I'm a better-dressed, more attractive jack white. (without the cameltoe/lunchbox.)

In other news I've just acquired a beautiful cap, looks like 30s police/military, which makes me look like the sexiest thing ever. So am wearing that rather alot. Cabaret-chic, I guess.

I want to project to people who do a lot of drugs that I also do a lot of drugs, and I also want to project to the people I work with that I work there, and I don't want to have to dress specially for work. I wear straight, plain button-up dress shirts in muted shades of grey, beige, and blue. Some of them have slight patterning, like a grid. I wear dress pants and dressy shoes which have been wrecked by too many winters. I've got too much hair.

I think I may have pulled off the worst of both worlds, but I'm not sure.

(Sometimes I wear one of a small selection of black T-shirts which I acquired across a few years' visits to a geek conference in Detroit. When I really feel like dressing up, I'll wear one under a dress shirt. I also own a shirt from a Radiohead concert and a shirt from a Marilyn Manson concert.

I am not a very well-dressed person. :D )

Sweaters.

Cheap. Easy. Cruel.
19:46 / 20.02.04
grant, those were quite possibly the worst looking sweaters I have ever seen. My step-mom makes ones that are nearly as bad.

I generally wear whatever is comfortable. Most often some sort of relaxed fit jean or slack with a t-shirt, sweater, or ivory-snapped western shirt. Running or skate shoes usually finish off the ensemble. In the winter, my black leather biker jacket is always with me. I don't do hats unless I am doing heavy, dirty, physical labor.

Grant, I really hope those gold leggings arent current clothing chic, or I will either strangle myself, or do lots of leg exercize things so my gold leggings look the best gold leggings.

But suicide would be a kinder option.

Lately I'm looking more and more like Genesis P.Orridge circa 1982. I'm not sure if that's a good thing or not. But the shaved head and military surplus/industrial look just feels so right in these strange times.

I can't say much about the clothing, because it's basically a horrible mix of berlin chic and "dad's closet" at the moment.

however, I DO have a heroic mullet, which, when combined with a swank pair of shoes, easily gives me the fashion-fu in Helsinki.

Those gold leggings rule. When I have seized power and hold absolute control over the hearts and minds of the people I shall wear those leggings with a white rubber wet-suit top (with the big belt with the square lead weights), calf-length boots (white) and a Royal Marines pith helmet. Dapper!

At the moment I am trying to work out a technique that will enable me to conform with the dress code in the office, while still expressing the ineffable quality that makes me great. All while not spending a million billion pounds on a bespoke suit. I haven't yet come up with a solution.

Your obviously not trying hard enough. There are some quite interesting off the peg suits about at the moment on the high street, at least in London. I bought one for a mere 200 quid that looks like something Edward G Robinson might wear to kill less sophisticated gangsters.

I'm praying to the gods in Nashville to turn me into a different CW singer every day. If I could find a Nudie suit I'd just die. The straw cowboy hat is actually practical in keeping old man sun from turning my barren scalp into a cancerous wasteland. Pearl snap cowboy shirts make me smile. I just can't take myself seriously in the boots, though.

I'm veering towards glam-butch... It's a mutant hybrid of femmy makeup and jewelry combined with jeans and tanks (to show off the few muscles I have left after a winter of inactivity), an Eisenhower jacket, and either boots or sandals and painted toenails if the weather's really nice...
