Falluja, Forced Labour, Fascism?

This is about two weeks old, but i haven't been able to find any follow-ups. If anyone knows what has happened since, I'd love a link.

Retinal scans, forced labour and compulsory nametags are some of the things awaiting returning Fallujans if the plans are carried out.

I don't really know what to say. I'm not much surprised any more. I just hope that they miraculously regain their sanity and dump these plans.

Foust is SO authentic

Bit of threadrot here.

"When the insurgents were here, we felt safe," said Ammar Ahmed, 19, a biology student at Anbar University. "At least I could move freely in the city; now I cannot."

Does it seem odd to anyone that an Iraqi citizen is using the same language to describe the "insurgents" as the West's media and governments?

If it's a translation issue, it's an odd choice of words.

Found something more recent, although it doesn't have much new.
