My favourite beard.

Because that other thread seems to be more a discussion of all the really heavy theory that underlies all beards. Cut to the chase, already. Beards are to the face what leather trousers are to the legs. Or something. The likes of you or I may not be able to carry them off. But sometimes, beards. just. work.

Thus do I humbly present the twinkly-eyed majesty that is:

So. What’s your favourite?

hm. Has Lemmy been seen without his cowboy hat at any point in recent years? I hate it when stars wear hats all the time, it usually means something awful has happened to break their mental fortitude. Usually baldness, but I'm sure that's just coincidence.

See: the Edge, that Bee Gee, Damon Albarn.

Of course, Babydaddy has the hairy-beary-elsewheriness to carry it off.

Even if he's faintly alarming sans hat.

Stoatie, I'm so upset. I thought I was your favourite beard.

It's not a beard many people could pull off (I know I couldn't) but Brian Blessed has got to get a mention. Also it definitely improves his looks:

this is kind of off-topic, but I suspect I was influenced by this thread:

last night I dreamed that I was partying it up on Parliament Hill with Ganesh, who was going out with Babydaddy, but Babydaddy had an English accent.

This made up for the horrible nightmare I had earlier where I woke up completely freaked out and was convinced that there was someone with infra-red goggles standing on the scaffolding outside my house and trying to peer through the curtain.

Oh, well then, seeing as the thread has been bumped, I’ll leap in and show my most recent research. I think I’m getting ever closer to seeing the ultimate beard.

There are about 100,000 crowd hippies in the Woodstock movie, but this dude is the grooviest of them all. Please note the quality of this beard:
