Yupp, it's a tawny frogmouth, they live in Australia and are called "Eulenschwalm" in German, which is even more cute. I'd like to have one, along with a little otter, a wombat, a kakapo chick, a baby Mongolian camel, Pigwidgeon and an ocelot. More pics to come...

I thought it was a young kookaburra, but apparently not.

That pic was an adult kookaburra. Wheareas this is a young kookaburra.

However this wee fright is a baby tawny frogmouth [take a deep breath before clicking here to see the little monster.]
