Siren music festival in NYC??

i was just curious if any of the nyc local barbelith kids checked out the siren festival this year, i had full intentions of attempting to check it out, but really the only band i was interested in seeing was Q and not U, and i just saw them play earlier this year at northsix.

what did people think, and any other good indie shows comming up in the nyc area?

I didn't go (opted instead to spend the afternoon dancing my arse off to Juan Atkins' set at PS1), but spoke with a friend who was there who found it pretty unimpressive. His virdict: bad sound, not too much of a vibe from the crowd, too many mediocre bands.
