This site features a collection of postcards from Russia, Germany and Poland by an American of Russian descent. First of all, I thought it would be good to share them here because they're interesting in their own right, and secondly, the idea of taking a group of images that all have one thing in common and seeing what surreal juxtapositions emerge. I'm wondering if anyone else knows of simmilar online collections?

The connection is tenuous and there are not many images on the site, but the Postcard Gallery has a few lovely shots of East London from days of yore-- haunting for the beauty of the images and of areas that actually look a lot worse now, even after the supposed waves of gentrification that are surging through them.

I do not know why, but was told that postcards of railway stations are the most expensive to collect.
