Birthday music and drinks, London and Southampton, 27th/28th March

16:14 / 18.03.07

Hey all. A bit belated I know, but I plan to celebrate my birthday with as many people as possible on the following dates and in the following ways...

LONDON
THE GOOD SHIP (Kilburn)
Tuesday 27 March 2007

The Rebel: core component of Country Teasers. Nakedly aggressive Americana.

Fuck Buttons: Euphoric, expansive tribal noise swellings.

Hunting Lodge: Moronic four man pissing contest for sex offenders, sea goblins and motivational speakers.

Men of Unitus: Pummel-riff band fronted by uplifting preacher.

Paul Linn: Legendary 80s power balladeer, playing live for the first time in years!

+ DJ Crablin and DJ Rrrachel before/between/after bands

£5.00.

SOUTHAMPTON
UNIT 22
Wednesday 28 March 2007

Grabba Grabba Tape: Everything gets Dafter and Punkier when you have pink fur trimmed costumes.

Hunting Lodge: Ugly broken men make ugly broken music. Full of pathos.

22 10 in the Pen: Squelchy disco pelvic grinding mash-ups.

Remnant Psyche: Video game inspired laptop lunacy with live cello, piano and guitar from Rival Joustas' Morgan.

Tickets are £5.00 in advance from either me or the Ejector Seat boys. Click here for tickets and more info.

I'm hoping to make it to the Southampton one.

27th, you say?

Hmm... that's payday!

14:35 / 22.03.07

Did I mention how great The Rebel are?

16:47 / 22.03.07

That flamingo flyer is ACE!

And your birthday was three weeks ago, you cheeky sod.

I might come, depends on money and whether I stop feeling like I'm going to pass out all the time.

17:06 / 22.03.07

MY BIRTHDAY IS FOR THE WHOLE OF MARCH AND THE FIRST TWO WEEKS OF APRIL.

19:16 / 22.03.07

If anyone's coming to the London show, might you have a small free area of floor you could donate to our guitarist to sleep on?

Mon Oncle Ignatius

22:05 / 22.03.07

Sadly, even though your guitarist is lovely, as I am leaving town the next day I shall not even be able to attend your birthday party/gig, nor offer him floorspace. Ach.

I'm sure I can accommodate a small guitarist, there's a sofa...or maybe even a bed as I think my flatmate's going to be away most of next week (although I can't promise that)

see you then (and could you bring the box with knobs on please?)

14:44 / 26.03.07

Not going to make it: need to save money, and my health.

When you back in London?

Let nobody be in any doubt. Hunting Lodge ROCK.

I'm fucked. And back at home. But they actually DID.

So NER.

22:54 / 27.03.07

That was very good. The kind of pure, unadulterated self-expression on display courtesy of Hunting Lodge is too thin on the ground these days, and brought a tear to this raddled old lady's eye.

twas a most fun evening, although the man from the 80's showed you all up good and proper

01:52 / 28.03.07

Wasn't he just amazing? Paul Linn for Pope!

Now THAT was what I call music!

He was fantastic.
