Bomb in the Empire State Building?

Stone Phillips reports on Dateline that sniffer dogs have made a positive ID in the Empire State Building.

My co-worker lives in Herald Square (34th Street and Sixth Avenue) which is a block away. Last night the entire area was evacuated, but it turned out to have been a false alarm.

He is extremely reluctant to come to work and leave his newborn daughter, but there's no way my boss is leaving Staten Island today if the car bomb reports are true. And someone has to deal with any clients that may call today.

Listening to Staten Island emergency services on Tuesday (GMT), one of the emergency workers in the area reported a bomb in the ESB and that radios were being switched off. About two minutes later, a controller confirmed the presence of a device in the ESB. From then on, there were at least two reports of 'suspicious, Arab-looking' people carrying knapsacks or duffel bags. Presumably widening the net as a precaution, but interesting that it wasn't reported until Thursday (GMT).
