NYC Barbelithers - help get a dog park built?

Some friends of mine are petitioning to have a dog park built in Sara Roosevelt Park (Lower East Side, Manhattan - below Houston and 2nd Ave) and are looking for signatures. If you have a Manhattan home or work address and feel like helping out, the petition can be signed online.

Thanks!

Do we have to use HTML for links now?

I don't live in Manhattan, but I'll send the link to my friends that do. Hope it works out.

You might want to post this up in the switchboard and maybe in the gathering.

Uh, I don't live in Manhattan...
I was just curious what a "dog park" is.
Anyone?

It's somewhere you can take dogs to let them run around with other dogs (you can't have your dog outside and off its leash in Manhattan otherwise - and most regular parks don't allow dogs at all).

Thanks for the responses...
