Revolting neighbours

So please tell me neighbour stories to cheer me up.

I quote this, so I´m not that much off-topic, because my story is not about a revolting neighbour, and I didn´t want to start a thread about this.

On the first floor (only about 1.5 m above ground) lives a very old woman. About 50% of the time, when I get home, she sits there at the window, and we "Hello" each other.

For about a year, she ignored me, because instead of giving me my package (she almost always takes packages for the house directly from the lazy postman´s hands while sitting there at her window), she threw it towards me. It was raining, I didn´t catch it, and it fell into a puddle (often I order books...). Finally a chance to stop her from accepting my packages.

So, because my neighbour is very hard to talk to, I told the neighbour on my floor, whom she´s friends with, that she should please tell her, not to accept packages for me anymore.

That made her quite irate, and only after a year, she again started talking to me. She changed her mind, because about a year ago, I heard her crying for help, while sitting at my fine computer. She had fallen down, and because she´s so old and massive, she couldn´t get up anymore, and so had crawled out of her appartment to shout for help. With all my puny strnegth I helped her up, and we were "friends" again, and we were on talking grounds again ("Don´t you want to go to the hairdresser, young man?"). Sadly, she started accepting my packages again, too.

I also allowed her to use my part of the basement, when she asked me, because I don´t use it.

Recently, and especially today, she weirded me out.
When I come home, she can see me from at least 100m away, and when she leaves the window, I know she wants something. But today and the last time, it wasn´t one of my packages (I really am in anticipation of a certain package right now, containing two CDs). No, she put two 5 € notes into my hand, telling me, to have a fine breakfast. I didn´t know what to do, wasn´t interested in insulting her pride again, so I accepted. Big mistake, because since then, a voice in my mind tells me, she probably thinks I´m on the dole or on welfare, because I don´t have the going out at 8.00 coming home at 17.00 routine anymore.

So when about 30 minutes ago, she wanted to push a 20 € note into my hand, I declined; telling her, she already had given me money recently. And I asked her, what it´s for (last time, I thought it might be compensation for me letting her use my part of the basement). And of course, without a further word, she retracted into her appartment.

Now I´m worried, that I will have this whole year or until death do us part or I move out of her being huffy again.

I wish I could be like someone I know, who would just shrug this of.

Eeew! If I kiss her, she´ll never leave me alone. My tongue is building up a protective fur as we post.

She likes a bit of fur on a man's tongue.

Seems, a new strategy is in order.

But this way, she might get stuck.
