I go back and forth on the J/P scale every time I take the test, and I think maybe also on the E/I. I am a "counselor idealist" says...someone up there.

I agree that the tests are flawed--I also wanted an "it depends on the situation!" option.

regarding this test effectiveness, I understood it is inspired in (and developed from) Jung's personality subdivisions. But, if my memory of a Jung's biography I read years ago, didn't he himself abandon the whole concept after finding it inaccurate? Wasn't it dropped completely from psychology jargon??? Or did I get it all wrong?

Aw, don't tease, it was his idea and now I feel embarrassed for him. I think it came about because I was reading aloud from Ehrenreich about how dumb she thinks they are... and he's afraid he's going to have to take one for a new job he's applying for. Why am I defending us.... Is it any worse than doing them alone on the computer?

Here are my results from last time (Nov 2004).

I am still INTJ, still 100% introverted (beat that!), moderately thinking and slightly judging.

But my intuitive percentage is now 75% (up from 33%). Interesting...

Buttons pressed, and apparantly I am an INFP ( 100, 62, 38, 11). I am not entirely sure what I think about this, but some things in the descriptions ring a bell.

I may show this result to my partners later and let them agree with it / pick holes in it, just to see what happens.

ENFJs are the benevolent 'pedagogues' of humanity. They have tremendous charisma by which many are drawn into their nurturant tutelage and/or grand schemes. Many ENFJs have tremendous power to manipulate others with their phenomenal interpersonal skills and unique salesmanship. But it's usually not meant as manipulation -- ENFJs generally believe in their dreams, and see themselves as helpers and enablers, which they usually are.

So you ENFJs are basically ... a bit like Jesus?
